In the dystopian future George Orwell imagined in his novel 1984, the Party controlled the people. “War is Peace,” “Freedom is Slavery,” and “Ignorance is Strength” are examples of the slogans the Party used to brainwash the people with “Doublethink.” Not merely holding obviously Illogical and contradictory ideas as true, “Doublethink” was used to induce fear into the people, and thereby control them. As George Orwell noted, “In the end, the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality was tacitly denied by their philosophy.”
Look at the world today. The blatant falsehoods that a man can become a woman, that men can get pregnant, women can have prostates, and physical reality is not sufficient evidence that someone is wrong is not only growing among the progressives and elites in America, but the freedom to question them is quickly moving from unacceptable to illegal. If you can keep your head while the world around you is going crazy, then your worldview may just be rooted in reality, facts, and data. All you have to do is to remember that 2+2 still equals 4, then stand your ground on those facts.

Who is in charge of your children? That has been a perennial question that has grown in importance over the last few years. When I was a child, it was understood that, with rare exceptions, parents were in charge of a child’s upbringing. This included medical, religious, and educational decisions. However, over the last few decades, the role of the parent in these decisions has been replaced by experts. What happens when the goal of the experts differs from those of the parents? Who decides the future of the rising generations? It was understood that the state acted in loco parentis, in place of the parents, only for the safety of the child. A recent case in U.S. District Court shows that be it health departments, child services, schools, or even the courts. Government not only believes they know better than the parents, they are more than willing to act in loco parentis tyrannis.

With over 30 years of experience in Information Technology (IT), not more than a passing understanding of AIs, I've come to the conclusion that much of what I've heard is more science fiction than fact.
