After January 6th, 2021 there seems to have been almost non-stop talk about insurrection. But all of this is a distraction, covering up the true insurrection in America, the federal government.
Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary defines insurrection as “an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government”. When you take the time to read the Constitution, you find out that is exactly what the federal government, and many state governments as well, have been doing for decades, revolting against the legitimate and supreme civil authority in this country, the Constitution of the United States. We saw it when Congress started creating federal agencies that are neither necessary or proper to exercise the authority delegated to the United States by the Constitution. Now we sit back and watch while these agencies revolt against the civil authority that created the federal government in order to deprive us of our rights. It breaks my heart to see so many Americans simply follow these illegal orders to metaphorically walk ourselves into the gulag these tyrannical actors have created for us. Sure, we may win a battle from time to time, but for the most part, the American people are not even participating in the war for our liberty. - Live 4PM ET with Host Paul Engel @CyberEngel

Who is in charge of your children? That has been a perennial question that has grown in importance over the last few years. When I was a child, it was understood that, with rare exceptions, parents were in charge of a child’s upbringing. This included medical, religious, and educational decisions. However, over the last few decades, the role of the parent in these decisions has been replaced by experts. What happens when the goal of the experts differs from those of the parents? Who decides the future of the rising generations? It was understood that the state acted in loco parentis, in place of the parents, only for the safety of the child. A recent case in U.S. District Court shows that be it health departments, child services, schools, or even the courts. Government not only believes they know better than the parents, they are more than willing to act in loco parentis tyrannis.

With the release of ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence (AI) applications, there has been a lot of speculation and downright assertions about our future. With over 30 years of experience in Information Technology (IT), not more than a passing understanding of AIs, I've come to the conclusion that much of what I've heard is more science fiction than fact. A recent court case decided in the D.C. District Court revolved around one very important question. Do AIs have rights?
In this third installment of the three-part series on the branches of government, we look at the role of the third and weakest branch. At least that is what our Founding Fathers thought of it. What is the role of the federal judiciary? What are the extent of their powers, how do they related to the other two branches of government, and why is a proper understanding of the role of the judiciary critical if the United States is to remain a constitutional republic?

When it comes to freedom of speech, there are two things that generate a fair amount of controversy. First is yelling “Fire” in a crowded theater and second is burning the United States flag. Recently, Donald Trump issued an Executive Order about flag burning. So let's take a look at the order and some of the history around flag burning.
It seems most people look to the federal government to fix every problem. I think that’s because they are under the false impression that the federal government can do anything it wants. This has led to a lot pain and suffering over the years. - Live 4PM ET with Host Paul Engel @CyberEngel @OutLoudNews

I’m not sure if there have been more acts of violence lately, or they’ve just been covered more in the media. What many of these acts have in common may surprise you. While there are plenty of people complaining about the gun, I think the problem is our immaturity. - Live 4PM ET with Host Paul Engel @CyberEngel @OutLoudNews
