School District Files Report With FBI Over Alleged ’Threats’ After Parents Criticize Transgender Locker Room Policy

An Arizona school board filed a report with the FBI over alleged threats after the district halted families from criticizing a policy allowing transgender students in the locker room of their choice.
The district was set to have a meeting on April 25 but canceled it due to concerns of alleged threats made to the district, according to a Facebook post from the CFSD account.
“You owe it to your constituents to resume in-person meetings. You are now providing more security for yourselves than you do for the entire student body of CFSD!” CFSD parent Bart Pemberton told the Daily Caller News Foundation of the school board.

In Loco Parentis, Tyrannis!

Who is in charge of your children? That has been a perennial question that has grown in importance over the last few years. When I was a child, it was understood that, with rare exceptions, parents were in charge of a child’s upbringing. This included medical, religious, and educational decisions. However, over the last few decades, the role of the parent in these decisions has been replaced by experts. What happens when the goal of the experts differs from those of the parents? Who decides the future of the rising generations? It was understood that the state acted in loco parentis, in place of the parents, only for the safety of the child. A recent case in U.S. District Court shows that be it health departments, child services, schools, or even the courts. Government not only believes they know better than the parents, they are more than willing to act in loco parentis tyrannis.

385 - Do Artificial Intelligences Have Rights?

With the release of ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence (AI) applications, there has been a lot of speculation and downright assertions about our future. With over 30 years of experience in Information Technology (IT), not more than a passing understanding of AIs, I've come to the conclusion that much of what I've heard is more science fiction than fact. A recent court case decided in the D.C. District Court revolved around one very important question. Do AIs have rights?

The Role of the Federal Courts

In this third installment of the three-part series on the branches of government, we look at the role of the third and weakest branch. At least that is what our Founding Fathers thought of it. What is the role of the federal judiciary? What are the extent of their powers, how do they related to the other two branches of government, and why is a proper understanding of the role of the judiciary critical if the United States is to remain a constitutional republic?

Are you smarter than a naturalized citizen?

How many of you remember the game show “Are you smarter than a fifth grader?” When I read about a study that showed that only about one-third of American adults can pass the citizenship test, it begged a question. How many of us are smarter than a naturalized citizen,? At least when it comes to the civics portion of the test. So let’s delve into this test and see if we can answer two questions. Are you smarter than a naturalized citizen and how did we get to such a pitiable state? - Live 4PM ET with Host Paul Engel @CyberEngel @OutLoudNews

United States v. Skrmetti - Oral Arguments

The transgender agenda has been moving fast the last few years. That said, several states recently have moved to slow their progress, especially among our young people. One state, Tennessee, is being sued by the federal government. Oral arguments were heard by the Supreme Court in November. What the question regarded a restraining order preventing the state from enforcing the law, a lot of time was spent on the primary question of the lawsuit, does the Tennessee law violate the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment?

Presidential Election Day

Many have been calling Donald Trump the President-elect since November 6th. However that is not technically true. The election for President didn’t conclude until this afternoon. This may put into context some of the events of last week that have garnered so much attention. So today, I want to explain why, only now, is Donald Trump technically the President-elect, and how that may be important to how we look at the events of New Years. - Live 4PM ET with Host Paul Engel @CyberEngel @OutLoudNews
