It’s time to build a wall… But not the wall you’re probably thinking about.
In the biblical book of Nehemiah, the residents of Jerusalem were under threat. Judah had been conquered by the Babylonians, and not only was Jerusalem raided, but its wall was destroyed, leaving it open to attack. Nehemiah, who was serving the king in Babylon, heard about the state of the wall in Jerusalem and, with the king’s permission, rebuilt the wall, providing safety and security to the people of that city.
Today, the “wall” that was to protect the people of the United States has been destroyed.
That wall was the Constitution of the United States.
It created a central government with limited and enumerated powers, but that wall has been torn down. It enshrined protections for our unalienable rights, but that wall has been destroyed. It ensured that the states would not only have a representative form of government but that they and the people would be protected from an all-powerful central government.
That wall has been utterly obliterated.
What are the American people to do?

Who is in charge of your children? That has been a perennial question that has grown in importance over the last few years. When I was a child, it was understood that, with rare exceptions, parents were in charge of a child’s upbringing. This included medical, religious, and educational decisions. However, over the last few decades, the role of the parent in these decisions has been replaced by experts. What happens when the goal of the experts differs from those of the parents? Who decides the future of the rising generations? It was understood that the state acted in loco parentis, in place of the parents, only for the safety of the child. A recent case in U.S. District Court shows that be it health departments, child services, schools, or even the courts. Government not only believes they know better than the parents, they are more than willing to act in loco parentis tyrannis.

With the release of ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence (AI) applications, there has been a lot of speculation and downright assertions about our future. With over 30 years of experience in Information Technology (IT), not more than a passing understanding of AIs, I've come to the conclusion that much of what I've heard is more science fiction than fact. A recent court case decided in the D.C. District Court revolved around one very important question. Do AIs have rights?
In this third installment of the three-part series on the branches of government, we look at the role of the third and weakest branch. At least that is what our Founding Fathers thought of it. What is the role of the federal judiciary? What are the extent of their powers, how do they related to the other two branches of government, and why is a proper understanding of the role of the judiciary critical if the United States is to remain a constitutional republic?

When it comes to freedom of speech, there are two things that generate a fair amount of controversy. First is yelling “Fire” in a crowded theater and second is burning the United States flag. Recently, Donald Trump issued an Executive Order about flag burning. So let's take a look at the order and some of the history around flag burning.
It seems most people look to the federal government to fix every problem. I think that’s because they are under the false impression that the federal government can do anything it wants. This has led to a lot pain and suffering over the years. - Live 4PM ET with Host Paul Engel @CyberEngel @OutLoudNews

I’m not sure if there have been more acts of violence lately, or they’ve just been covered more in the media. What many of these acts have in common may surprise you. While there are plenty of people complaining about the gun, I think the problem is our immaturity. - Live 4PM ET with Host Paul Engel @CyberEngel @OutLoudNews
