The Constitution Study
Politics • Education
I started The Constitution Study to help others learn to read and study their Constitution, so they may better know and understand their rights. It is where people can gather online to study together, discuss events, and help each other work to return our nation to the Constitutional Republic is was meant to be.

Censorship in America is worse than you think

Evidence of censorship seems to be everywhere today. As I was discussing the upcoming election with a group recently, I realized that censorship appears by many names, and comes from many different groups with many different political views. Today, I want to look not only at updates on some of the more traditional censorship stories, but other areas where censorship is happening under another title. Because censorship, by any other name, is just as evil. - Live 4PM ET with Host Paul Engel @CyberEngel @OutLoudNews

In Loco Parentis, Tyrannis!

Who is in charge of your children? That has been a perennial question that has grown in importance over the last few years. When I was a child, it was understood that, with rare exceptions, parents were in charge of a child’s upbringing. This included medical, religious, and educational decisions. However, over the last few decades, the role of the parent in these decisions has been replaced by experts. What happens when the goal of the experts differs from those of the parents? Who decides the future of the rising generations? It was understood that the state acted in loco parentis, in place of the parents, only for the safety of the child. A recent case in U.S. District Court shows that be it health departments, child services, schools, or even the courts. Government not only believes they know better than the parents, they are more than willing to act in loco parentis tyrannis.

385 - Do Artificial Intelligences Have Rights?

With the release of ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence (AI) applications, there has been a lot of speculation and downright assertions about our future. With over 30 years of experience in Information Technology (IT), not more than a passing understanding of AIs, I've come to the conclusion that much of what I've heard is more science fiction than fact. A recent court case decided in the D.C. District Court revolved around one very important question. Do AIs have rights?

The Role of the Federal Courts

In this third installment of the three-part series on the branches of government, we look at the role of the third and weakest branch. At least that is what our Founding Fathers thought of it. What is the role of the federal judiciary? What are the extent of their powers, how do they related to the other two branches of government, and why is a proper understanding of the role of the judiciary critical if the United States is to remain a constitutional republic?

Importance of Jury Duty

Most of us have had the experience of pickup up the mail, only to get that pit in our stomach, maybe utter a small curse or two, and immediately being thinking of ways to get out of it. The piece of mail that has caused these reactions is a jury summons. Almost no one looks forward to jury duty, and the efforts to get out of it are legendary. Which makes me wonder, if We the People put as much effort into understanding jury duty as we did trying to get out of it, would America be a better nation?

Money, the root of our destruction

Alexis De Tocqueville famously said “The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money”. This is because of the “Third Party Payer” problem. You see this isn’t the United State’s money. Congress doesn’t pay a price with they spend money to buy votes, so there’s reason for them not to. There’s also no penalty when the United States “invests” is a corrupt or ridiculous project or program, so no reason for them to be wise with what they take from us. In short, while Marxism and corruption are destructive to our rights, it’s the abuse of money that will truly destroy the republic. - Live 4PM ET with Host Paul Engel @CyberEngel @OutLoudNews

It takes a village to steal our children

Hillary Clinton not only wrote the book It Takes a Village: And Other Lessons Children Teach Us, but often quoted the African proverb "It takes a village to raise a child." However, as someone has pointed out, it takes a village idiot to believe that. Or, as Bob Dole put it “it does not take a village to raise a child. It takes a family to raise a child." So why this focus on who raises future generations? As the poem states, “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle Is the Hand That Rules the World” - Live 4PM ET with Host Paul Engel @CyberEngel @OutLoudNews
